star parker is back with us and david payne republican strategist and vox global partner. avid, i understand why at this point in the race he might want to pivot to sound more presidential. i wonder, he has gotten here with his mouth. that is what is appealing to his supporters. isn't there a danger in toning it down? >> whenever you change your brand in middle of a campaign there is risk your core supporters will lose their interest in you or might not be able to pick up new supporters who have gotten used to your brand. it is very hard for donald trump to sound presidential and suddenly shift his tone when the% of the what is coming out of his -- 90% of what is coming out of his mouth, dismissive of really great ideas republicans care about or insulting other candidates. i think he will have a real struggle to shift the narrative in his favor. melissa: star, his way of attacking people has been very effective. you may not like it. people may seem on the surface are over fended by it, and he does it and his numbers are stronger. maybe it doesn't make sense to tone it down?
