i spoke with senator david perdue of georgia who thinks we are close to a revised deal. >> i am not in free trade agreement negotiations, but i will say this. every time i talked to the president, he talks about, we want a deal. i do not think there is a purpose served by putting a timeline on it. we and our partners are dealing in good faith. it is important that we have the u.s., canada, and mexico in a solid trade agreement. david: with us still is michael froman. we were told before we were close to a deal. how difficult would it be to get a deal done on nafta? michael: i think a deal is doable. it depends on whether there is flexibility and creativity on both sides. 90% of what they are executing is trans percent -- is the transpacific partnership text which mexico and canada have already agreed to. the last 10% is the most difficult, making the agreement go away unless all countries act affirmatively. the country wants to create more uncertainty in investing in mexico. that uncertainty is creating a pause on investment at the moment. a deal is doable if there is creativity on bot
