and your campaign released internal polling that continues to show you in a dead heat with david perduect of kamala harris on the ticket have on your chances in. >> i'm so excited to have senator harris on the ticket. folks across the political spectrum in georgia love kamala harris. she is magnetic, she has a great track record. she appeals across a broad spectrum and really excited for voters of color here who see this daughter of jamaican and indian immigrants living the american dream and promising to expand it. so i'm excited that camera is in this race and excited to help her when she is vice president to serve the people. >> obviously are you knnot able campaign in the traditional sense right now. how is it impacting you, do you think that it is hurting you, perhaps it is helping you? >> look, we're putting public health first. so there are obviously things we'd love do like knock on doors and convene in person town halls. we're doing virtual town halls. we're still finding creative and technically advanced ways to make sure that the campaign is accessible. but the big picture is

i'll tell you that i talked to one of those members, senator david perdue, a republican from georgia up for re-election yesterday and he said, look, i'm trying to be optimistic but i'm worried about the pace of the negotiations and they're starting to fear that pressure. remember, we expect them to be in session next week but they were supposed to be out of session, beginning the month long august recess and there doesn't seem to be any big break through. that's really what is going to be necessary to break this logjam. >> lawmakers do not like to shorten their recesses. let's talk about the white house, because the president is threatening unilateral action and suspending the payroll which the president opposes and is that a likely scenario and would the president be able to make that happen actually? >> well, jim, for a long time i think republican and democratic aides up here viewed the president's threat of executive action as just that, a threat. a negotiating tactic going into these meeting but i'll tell you that feeling that something could happen from the executive is growing
