david siegel -- well, he knows about construction.re empire westgate resorts from scratch, starting with 16 villas in an orange grove outside of orlando and growing into the largest privately owned time-share company in the world. but in 2004, david and his wife, jackie, took on a completely different construction project, building a dream home that would end up being the largest in america. 12 years later, it is still a work in progress. the 90,000-square-foot house was set to contain 13 bedrooms, 30 bathrooms, a bowling alley, indoor swimming pool -- guess what? -- a 20-car garage. the sprawling estate was about 60% completed when the economy crashed back in '08, almost taking all of westgate and all of siegel's fortunes with it. david and jackie were forced to stop all construction on versailles and eventually list a half-built mansion for sale with a price tag of $100 million. the entire ordeal became part of the documentary "the queen of versailles." but the economy improved, westgate resorts came back, and, again, the siegels bo

joining us now is lori siegel, a cnn business senior technology correspondent, she reports on this stuff all the time, and cnn political analyst david, we have scrambled you back into the chair because you were making the point that social media has a role to play in anti-semitism. what are your thoughts? >> well, i just think there are communities of hate that are more available now. "the new york times" reporting this morning about the number of instagram posts with t the #jewsdid9/11 and it's an astounding number. the fact is that we have in our society the ability to be together alone. you know, this shooter in pittsburgh would have at his disposal a community of hate when this is clearly a lonely misguided person. we know based on what his writings are what motivated him and he is given a platform in a way that weapon eyeses that hate in a way that we have not seen before and i just don't think as others have scrutinized social media companies that these companies have really thought about what they have unleashed, what they have made possible and now they're trying to reign it back in, often not very successfully. >> laurie se

siegel thanks. >> yes, sir. the nba announcing a new league for younger players. how young? >> 18-year-olds this goes back to when then commissioner of the nba davident saying you can't be 18 and go straight to the nba you can't go from preps to prose as it was called. so he upped age to 19 now they have thissed g league problem is basically none of these star athletes have come out of -- prep school and gone into this superleague they've gone into colleges which led to a slew of crooked dealings envelope of cash all of that manipulated to get star players out of high schools into colleges it has been a complete, complete and utter mess. this g league superleague is going to offer 125,000 contracts bottom line it was a missed opportunity from the very beginning i think the nba will do away with age requirement within two years and have again 18-year-olds looking to go pro. >> interesting. college these day -- you know. i'm going to bring in money -- news on jobs getting better and better not a stretch to say that jobs picture is as bright as anything we've seen in an entire generation if not longer we'll take my take on that, next. . . stuart: you
