i'm going to split my time with david silverman. i have a long history with this property. i met richard robinson 20 years ago. the property looked like that after a house under construction next door caught fire and burned the house and burned richard's house within a minute. the fire department saved the facade. we built a new house behind that facade. 20 years forward, richard and pete, a married couple want to have expressed to me the desire of age in place, that means a garage and elevator and that means accessibility and a master bedroom. all of those elements have been pushed back from the front facade to retain the character that we work so hard to preserve 20 years ago. this is a rendering and a photograph that you have in your packets. the photograph on the left is the house as it is today from across the street on the sidewalk. the rendering on the right is truly what the addition of space that would contain the elevator and the third story edition would look like from the public right of away. and with that, i'm going to ask david to come up and continue present

(laughter) but, but folks, president of american atheists david silverman just cannot let this one go. >> people are understanding the fact that the cross is christian, that it was installed if a religious service and on consecrated ground which makes it a work shrine on public land in a world trade center t a christian cross. >> stephen: yes, those i beams found in the wreckage can only be a crist yen cross, what other possible explanation could there be from a building made of right angles to leave something like that behind? apparently, apparently atheists want to honor lack of belief at ground zero. so i personally think the entire tragedy already suggests that religious fervour sometimes has a downside. jim? >> they say that if this cross is going to stand if a museum they want to have a placke that honors all of the atheists who died on 9/11 as well. >> stephen: let me get this straight, atheists, you say the only response necessary for nonbelievers in the face of the pneum i nous is to point-- numb i news is to point out the grad your, to witness the splender of win wheeling--

david silverman, president of american atheists and lauren green. lauren, who was he talking to?> he's talking to basically a lot of people who are leaning to the left and we are getting names out of the house saying, you know, it's like catholic churches, these kind of names. they are people -- one of the members, there is a conservative liberal divide the way in politics. what you have here, he wants to talk to leaders, he goes to the pool of leaders like he did friday with the immigration reform. he talked to faith leaders. he's got 93 cases pending against the mandate coming up. they are faith leaders. this is coming up, a big one, hobby lobby is coming up before the deadline. >> he probably didn't go to those. rabbi, where do you fall on this? >> it's interesting. the left always charges us when we push conservative issues. they say that's violating church and state. when it comes to their issues, he tries to corral the faith leaders, go to the pulpits and the synagogues, use skipture here and there so the left has no problem using religion when it's to their advantage. we o

david silverman is the president of the atheists who have argued this. ice to see you, megyn. >> now you lost, you lost, they found the motion for summary judgment, and your appeal to get your loss reversed doesn't sound like you got what you wanted. >> i think people understand that it was installed on consecrated ground, which makes it a working shrine on the public land. we believe the atheists and the muslims and jews should all have their presence. it is a fair statement to say, we think the world trade center is very disingenuous to say it is not the truth. >> it is christian, not because it is christian but because of where it was found. >> but there are other religious icons in the world trade center memorial that were not found there. like a jewish star and hindu holy water are there to compensate for the obvious christianity of the cross. if you're going to admit the cross is for the christians, and you are going to do it for us too. >> you want them to create something that was not there. you want them to create a plaque that says that atheist
