joining me today to discuss some of these issues at harlem's book store are david webb, co-founder of the tea party 365, har var rice, president and ceo of the new york urban lead and keith, editor and chief of the daily voice. thank you for being here. we're a couple days away from the mid-term elections and there doesn't seem to me to be the same kind of energy as there was in 2008. everybody was talking about elections in 2008. not so much now. what's the reason for that? keith, what do you say? >> you never get the same amount of energy in the mid-term election as in the presidential election because you don't have the guy at the top who's running. what's different about this, is that there is a little energy on the right what they call the enthusiasm guy with the tea party people. people are feeling upset. they're concerned about their jobs, they're concerned about the economy and they're not thinking about politics because they're thinking about making it from day-to-day existence. that's having a driving impact on this election. >> don't these issues run economy and joblessness

[ laughter ] >> it's in -- excellent point. >> hold on, hold on. please. >> i also think you have just heard in the answers from my opponent and in her attempt at saying where is the separation of church and state in the constitution, reveals her fundamental misunderstanding of what our constitution is, how it is amended and how it e 1r0volv >> you're telling me the separation of church and state is found in the first amendment. >> government shall make no establishment of religion. >> that's in the first amendment.

section what i thought i was going to have the ability to speak with mr back i saw david webb who had announced that russia t.v. was there and i went up to him and asked him why he said that take a listen. to. what you were already. going to do with it make sure they do that every which way did they do. and i want to you know i just i took it a little personally because i didn't understand why he would do that to our t. considering that our t. was the only channel there that was going into the crowd into the bleachers there was not that big of a crowd.

joining me on the phone is national tea party federation spokesman david webb.hank you for hopping on the line with us this morning. after seeing what happened yesterday, would you have liked to have been there at that rally yesterday? do you think there was something you and other tea party movement folks could have contributed to it? >> i think the more important message is not that we sit and count for each earother which t is the rally versus rally at not fear. they don't reflect the majority of americans with the liberal progressive agenda has been rejected by america, we have seen it fail, stimulus and 15 million people out of jobs, and they want to continue this entitlement mentality. plus, when you look at groups involved, like laraza and groups that have had hateful messages playing the race card, playing the race game, this is about getting voters to come home for the elections. >> mr. webb, would you say on some issues, whether it's education, jobs, that there are some issues that the folks at the rally yesterday, folks we saw at mr. beck's rally, fol

radio talk show host and spokesman for the new york tea party, david webb joins us to discuss this topiclet's just give you a few examples of what's happening out there before we get to you mr. webb. harry reid, for example, in nevada his supporters are running an ad in favor of the tea party candidate who is not sharron angle. is that man, scott ashjohn, doesn't have much of a shot, but could be the difference taking enough votes away shank angle. and in california, mary bono mack, calls from a quote, registered republican saying vote for the independent. they are paid for by the democrats. >> and david, what is happening here? these are democrats who are trying to split in a sense the republican vote and using the tea party. >> absolutely. i mean, what we have here is the hard core politics, when it all costs and with a tea party movement that beg and that influential, democrats are going to do everything, they're desperate and 20 seats around the country that are going to be decided by 1500 votes, in that range. >> and what democrats are saying, well, you know, the tea party's republi
