it's quiet now but this american bulldog is one of two that got loops and attacked a runner in davidsonville park. the victim was running in the park when he came across a man walking three dogs. at least one of the dogs broke free biting the man on the arms and legs. the handler ran leaving the dogs to run loose. >> the second dog was labor to get lay way for a period of several hours. ultimately we received call from a citizen indicating the dog was in thick dense marsh. once officers got on scene, the dog was extremely aggressive, biting, lunging at the officers. >> reporter: they captured him but he died on the way to the shelter. now the dog they were able to capture is being held while this is being investigated. authorities are intensifying their search for the dog's owner who took off after the dogs got loose. >> we're going to continue the investigation to see why he left the scene. we need to locate that third dog as well. it's a disturbing incident. >> reporter: the victim was take tonight hospital and is expected to be okay. police are looking for the person who was handling the dogs.
