volusia county property appraiser says tensions have escalated between the county and city of daytona beach after the city made the decision last night the county voted to reopen the park, then shortly after the city came back and closed the park again. then this morning, this happened >> dropped his duffel bag here and headed toward her here. >> the property appraise her says a homeless man was aggressive towards a woman who works inside his office. the woman was scrambling to get her key card to get inside the building as a homeless man rushed up to her. another employee saw what happened and shouted out. >> he was so close at the time he heard her screaming, that he turned around, and when he turned around, he bumped her here. so there was contact. and that's not a circumstance that people need to have at work. >> that worker filed a complaint with the daytona beach police

adrian: breaking news right now in daytona beach. firefighters have just put out a fire at an old ymca building. you can see some of the smoke lingering on debbyshire road near third street a short time ago. police told us the property is owned by the islamic center of daytona beach. the owners had planned to refurbish the building into another islamic center. no one was injured. tonight, the investigation is beginning into what sparked a deadly fire at an independent living facility in lakeland. one person was killed and three others injured in the fire this morning at bella vista manor. other units had to be evacuated. many of those who live there are disabled. firefighters say the building didn' t have sprinklers, which infuriated a mother, whose son lives there. >> yes, it does. we have too many elderly people here and we need to make sure he is able and able to move, but when there are elderly people here, they should have all the facilities in working process. adrian: firefighters say the building was constructed in the early 7

the islamic center of daytona beach is being turn under to a mosque. tiffany teasely joining us live in daytona beach. what's the very latest? >> we can see volusia county fire officials still here on this scene here off of derbyshire road here in daytona beach after they say the fire broke out around 3:40 p.m. this afternoon. at this point we're told a juvenile set the building on fire. we're told the fire was very active when crews arrived on this scene. we have confirmed that the islamic center of daytona beach purchased this old ymca building back in october, but at this point fire officials tell us they are not investigating this as a hate crime. still, the central florida council on american islamic relations released a statement saying, quote, with the heightened anti--islamic rhetoric and islam o phobic hate is taking this incident very seriously. we are in the process of reaching out to the mosque leaders and are waiting for the result of this investigation. obviously, fortunately this building was vacant so there were no injuries. as soon as

the city has requested the salvation army to bust the homeless out of daytona beach. what do they think about this bus ride? >>reporter: the homeless are still here in front of the county administration building, they even have these signs up, but just moments ago, that salvation army truck showed up, a bus, to pick up the dozens of people here at least 46 of them, to put them on the bus and take them to shelter. the salvation army told us only about 10 of them got on that bus. they told us earlier today that they just won't go. the people here say they want real solutions, not just a 90-day fix. volusia county and the stay of daytona beach, all of the leaders are trying to fix the issue, but nobody seems to have finger pointing. in the meantime, the property appraiser has closed the office and now the county is in the process of closing the entire building. this all after one woman said she was a costed by the homeless on her way into the office. today, people who came here to do business, couldn't believe what has gone on here. >> do you think that the county has fa
