the office should work harder to coordinate with planning and dbi. we must address the issues around saturation in our neighborhoods. today many cannabis businesses like many one type of any businesses particularly alcohol or other are not good for one neighborhood and shouldn't be saturated in one neighborhood. i'm committed to my constituent we consider the 4835 appeal to do something about saturation and this legislation would follow up on that conversation. today we'll hear from the office of cannabis who has presentation and there will be two sets of amendments. at least one is ready and the others are in the drafting form. i'll ask the committee to update the findings and i think we e-mailed to you but i'll hand that out since there is a lot has changed since 2020, and supervisor chan is in conversation with our office about a sunset date beginning january 2028 on this ordinance while requiring the controller to do economic analysis of the industry in general to determine whether it makes sense to continue past that time and or design safeguard

i'm wondering from what i heard from previous discussions here 12 employees at the dbi department of building inspection and about 600 non-profits working along the 7,000 homeless on the streets, so it sounds like if their budget is $53 million and they have placed 2650 people that comes to $20,000 per placement just to direct somebody enter housing not the cost of the shelter, shelter bed, what have you. that's just to direct them there which seems pretty excessive. i have called needed a to struck one -- to w truck and charged $75 and when the truck arrived charge $75 to call the truck to send it to me and got me there. as far as the -- you know we really va-- i have called hot teams over to a couple of homeless people better. i notice they show you in a car and four, five people in the car. come out and talk to the person and the person after five minutes or so they wave them on. sometimes an ambulance comes as well and i don't know how much this costs and the homeless person just waving them off and i would like to know what something like that actually cost? >> thank you. there
