>> certainly that would be good, if you have more growth, less deb debt, what is not to like. the policy mix that seems to be coming through doesn't suggest this is a sustainable outcome what we will likely see, if we have important tax cuts and if we have maybe additional spending on infrastructure and other spending programs, that would mean other things being equal that you would have a larger deficit and larger debt stock, and the debt stock is quite large now compared to what it would have been before the crisis. starting from a weaker fiscal position already. now the 4% growth, you might achieve that through fiscal stimulus in a fiscal straw fire, if you like. but the u.s. economy is operating probably close to potential. there's no obvious need to stabilize the economy through fiscal politics. we're close to full employment. so sustainability of 4% growth rate what it would take really is more progress on the productivity growth front, that you don't achieve through fiscal policy but through other means on the structural side. >> i hear that point time and time again gi
