and for example, after we published this piece, i went up to deb fischer, one of the senators mentioned surprised when i said, well, i have a letter that you sent to a constituent. so they're a little concerned about how this is going to look for them politically to the boss, who is donald trump, because it's very bad for them to say anything negative. >> about anyone. >> and then the same thing is sort of applying to musk, too. but you can see that privately. they really just don't want this to snowball into a bigger issue than it needs to be. >> it all leads to the question talk is cheap and clearly wishy washy, and maybe not even from the senators or lawmakers, even though their name is on it. but does it ever yield action? >> sometimes it can if there's. yeah. if you look back, you know, when i was first getting into politics, there was a lot of constituent activity around obamacare. and that's how you saw the house change hands in 2010. this kind of behavior can really make members start to feel paranoid. and when that happens, that's when policy changes. >> it all starts to drive
