this is congresswoman debbie dingell. countrys across this are currently being impacted by covid-19, otherwise known as the coronavirus. we are all scared. many people are worried about their jobs, how long are we going to be at home, are we going to be ok, our family members, our friends, our neighbors -- we don't have all the answers to those questions. but we each have a part to do. today, the house and the another step and pass legislation that would address a number of the issues we have now. we are getting very needed money to the hospitals so they can do their jobs. congress ismber of committed to getting personal protection to nurses and doctors on the front lines. we are also worried about people that have lost their jobs or may lose their jobs during these times that we have to stay home. we extended unemployment, put more money in it, and have given supplemental payments to people. we are making sure that small businesses have access to loans of the if they take care workers, that those loans will become grants

what is a typical day like for debbie dingell these days? guest: anybody who knows me knows that i'm not somebody that was meant to sit still. so i don't. but i am up by 6:00 a.m. i'm on the phone by 6:30. i am talking to people all day. there is no such thing as a typical conversation. every day brings new problems. today i spent half my day on the phone. we need to understand what is happening to hospitals. not only doctors and nurses on the front lines, but their revenue has been impacted. one of my hospital systems announced they were furloughing employees today. the first thing i did was pick up the phone. our delegation is working in a bipartisan way. what are we going to do? we devised a plan and we started to execute. our delegation has different members on different committees. things we need to do get divided according to who is on what committee. my meals, i want you to know i have my diet coke. i'm probably not eating very well. i put a picture of my potato chips and onion dip as my lunch, which is many a day. the phone'm on prob
