. >> we begin in isle of vista where the community is still in shock, debora villalon. >> reporter: we're on pardor road, it's one of the places that were part of the murder spree. >> throughout the night, people came to mourn. >> reporter: at this memorial mass, mourners were asked to find strength by seeing the best in people. >> that was like life changing. watching all that happen. and it was so fast. >> reporter: this deli clerk on duty when gunfire sent everyone on the floor still works while flowers fill the bullet holes and tributes come through the front door. she saw goodness she says even after she saw someone dying. >> one of his good friend stayed here until the end. he was trying to help him. >> you can hear all the cops yelling. >> reporter: these girls cowered from their window and recorded the mayhem. friday had been their last day of class. >> the town is beautiful, the people here are beautiful. everyone is always in great spirits it's sad it had to end in this way. >> you're coming to get your children and you realize that some people aren't going to have that opportun

ktvu's debora villalon joins us live from concord with the efforts to rescue that infant. >> reporter: this was a 1-year- old boy who was revived and we're told is in stable condition right now. take a look at video from about 90 minutes ago of the baby being put into an ambulance to be transferred to children's hospital in oakland. there was a helicopter on stand by to air lift him but the decision was made to take him and his mother by ground. this transfer came after the boy had been revived and stabilized which took a few hours. the actual 911 call came in about 6:15 that an infant had drowned in a backyard pool. concord police arrived to find the boy lifeless and family members trying frankicly to find him. those officers took over cpr until fire paramedics got there. they rushed to a near by park where a medivac met them and he ended up going to john concord campus with a police escort that time. all of this very traumatic very everyone in the cul-de-sac where this family lives. but the outcome tonight not as bleak as first thought. this is a near drowning. and this 1-year-old b
