i'm deborah wiener. a maryland state trooper is fighting to recover after she was thrown in the air by a passing car. it happened as she was assisting with a traffic stop. don champion has tonight's big story. >> debris that litters part of route 100 in the county proves there's no such thing as a routine traffic stop in law enforcement. >> when something like this happens it just -- it rips your insides out. -- isyland state police l now coming to the bedside of a trooper that was struck early sunday morning. jacqueline cline was here along route 100 near the katherine avenue section when it happened. she was helping a fellow trooper with a field sobriety test. a car drove by, hit cline, throwing her in the air. >> she's a quality young lady. and she's very tough. are >> michael ared trained cline in the academy. insiders say she has quickly made a name for herself as being a hard worker. after the accident, cline was flown from shock trauma suffering from head injuries, cuts and bruces and broken bones
