it offered support for the new president, deena bassetti, so certainly the u. s. very clear about its position in all of this. that being said, that has been disquieted state department for a period of time, particularly among those many corruption charges that had been laid against pedro castillo at no public position, had been made on it by state department. but there had been mutterings in the corridor. so to speak, they have now come out fully behind the new administration within the peru, but obviously keeping a very close eye on developments. anything in a neighboring continent. it could be a problematic in terms of the us maintaining a form of stability within the wider region. so obviously it is going to be continued to watch here and just to add as well, there's awareness within the u. s. of the particular nature of the peruvian constitutional system. there impeachment is a political process, a doesn't have to be a criminal one. and therefore it's a subjective judgement by congress whether or not they going to impeach and just to add as well. back in nove
