this is the live picture at gina dejesus's home. she was abducted in 2004 spending nearly an entire decade in captivity. she was treated at the hospital. her condition at the time according to sources said that she was actually doing fine and was in fairly good condition, certainly good enough condition to be released. the girls -- the women at this point, girls as they went into captivity, women as they emerge have all been reported to be in what frail health and certainly undernourished at the very least. we had reports from neighbors that they'd seen the accused -- or the near to be accused in this case, the owner of that home, he had been walking in and out of that home with many bags of mcdonald's. at the time it didn't seem so unusual, in retrospect perhaps making more sense. but now as we look at the ho homecoming for gina dejesus, it's looking remarkably similar to what we just witnessed an hour ago, the homecoming of her co-captive amanda berry, came home to her sister's home with her 6-year-old daughter, a daughter born in

dejesus has known ariel castro for 20 years. they played music together, and he's been at the castro house many times. tito dejesus joins me now. tito, i spoke to you earlier in the week. you give a fascinating insight into ariel castro, also saying, as everyone else has done, you never had a clue really about the kind of man he was. what's interesting to you tonight, you've had time to think about this. you've read and heard about what he did, and you remembered something about him in terms of his behavior around women. and i want you to talk to me about that first. >> when we used to go performing, he was alone all the time. he wanted to always see if he could go out and dance with women, strangers. so he would go pick out somebody and say, want to dance? and many, many times they would say no. he would come back to me upset. and i would tell him, stop doing that. you're just going to embarrass yourself. he said, i'm going to try again. i'm like don't do it. a lot of women don't like to dance with strangers. but he kept going,

gina dejesus.s the last to see gina. >> my mom said no, i can't go over to her house. and so i told her i couldn't. and she said well, okay, i'll talk to you later. >> reporter: investigators are now scrambling to piece together every detail of castro's life. some neighbors say he was intensely private. they say he always kept the shades drawn and used a tarp to cover his backyard. perhaps this was a clue that castro had a darker side. in 2004, police came to his house after castro, who worked as a school bus driver, was accused of leaving a student on the bus and cursing at the student. no one opened the door and castro was later suspended. the first of several suspensions that ultimately end up with his firing in 2012. raising the question, did authorities miss key opportunities to rescue the women? if he did it, family members speculate what it would have taken. his uncle, julio castro, spoke to our colleague alex perez. >> apparently he was living two personalities. the personality that was dea
