joining me to break it down, ken delany and national security reporter, former assistant attorney and nancy cook, white house reporter and pbs news hour white house correspondent and msnbc contributor. we have a packed friday. ken, you get to take it away. this is this fascinating and bizarre twist. how did his name end up in the documents? >> it's remarkable. nobody who has been around the federal courts has ever seen anything quite like this. this was, as you said, unrelated case involving a sex crimes allegation. but it so happened that the prosecutor on this case was also working on a long running investigation of julian assange in wikileaks going on in the eastern district of virginia. this prosecutor appears to have cut and pasted language regarding assange into this other case and left it in the file. there was even a reference to asking the document be remain sealed until assange is arrested so he couldn't avoid the arrest. the implication here is that charges are pending against assange. we can't say that for sure. it's possible this could be a draft. >> right. we don't know
