really diving into one of our neighborhoods and that would be the delaware beaches, southern delaware and the jersey shore. really it's about the coloration of our contour here. this is showing where the steadier snow is. the deeper the blue the heavier the snow and it's right where we're expecting it against the shoreline. with those strong winds coming from the north, that worry of low visibility and blowing snow. temperatures stay below freezing all day. this is at 11:00 a.m. and it's heavier against parts of the jersey shore. once we get to 1:30 in the afternoon, farther to the north and west, dover starting to see a lighter snow but it's still fairly steady against the shoreline. it starts to fall apart and move out by this evening, but here's the problem. with those very cold roadways and cold conditions today, everything sticks in stacks and then can blow around as we do expect those gusts to get stronger into the afternoon. in fact, gusts upwards of 50 miles per hour are certainly possible at the shore. that is why a blizzard warning has been put in place. this is shaded in re

we are on the delaware county, chester county border. parkside is one of the towns that's right around here. and one of the reasons why we're here is we want to show you the roads. check this out. as you can see, this is not exactly like route one, one of the main roads around delaware county. but certainly is not a side road either. like we've been talking about all morning long, even though there isn't six or 10 inches every snow, the snow that is on the roads is not going anywhere. and as you can see, as people kind of come around turns, and try to make their way even up the slightest amount of a hill, if you don't have a four wheel drive, if you don't have great traction, you're not going to be able to work out so well probably one of the bigger reasons why a lot of the school district, day cares, other place that is open super early in the morning have either delayed starts this morning, or they've canceled the day altogether. so, this is delaware county, chester county, border, you need to tell us on twitter where you want us to go
