washington examiner has found a variety of problems with metro's emergency exits. 9news now reporter delia gonzalezetails. >> reporter: the results of this inspection that was released by the examiner certainly very troubling. what is more disturbing though, inspectors say that metro didn't do much to fix these problems, despite being warned in 2011 ask then again in 2010. the paper got their hands on an inspection report that shows repeated failures by the rail system. i want suspect tors found violations like emergency signs that were poorly lit or pointed you in the completely wrong direction. even more troubling, emergency doors that were blocked. inspectors also found, get this, 15 stations that had doors that required 35 pounds of force to open, fire officials say you need 15 pounds only to open emergency doors. inspectors say it took months to fix small problems there were band aid repairs that didn't help and exits that could not be found at three metro stations in the area. the gm, richard sorelles, will be here to talk about a new enhanced rush hour program they are launching in about two
