that southwest wind can create a slightly cooler scenario on the western half of delmarva where you get that cool breeze. for most of us it's a warmer breeze and pushes us up into the mid-50s. just over the virginia line, could see 60. some patchy clouds. quiet across the mid-atlantic states. offshore we are watching an intercoastal situation right off the carolina coast, but the high pressure dome that's in place right now will push any coastal weather out. so we think right now this coastal weather will continue to push further out. we'll stay dry. you see very dry air in place at the surface as well and that certainly is making its presence felt in term ofs of the very dry air. maybe a little extra chap stick in mind, but the bottom line is this has been clear, mild and pleasant and referring back to that potential coastal system as we look at this thing, you can see this does blow up but gets pushed further out thanks to the high pressure sitting off the delmarva coast. normally that would be more of a concern for us but it will not be as it continues to get pushed out. increased cl

you get down to southern maryland maybe over to the lower delmarva you'll get some rain, but enough toen though it's not going to be a huge snow. we're thinking maybe 1, 2, or in some places 3 inches. that can be enough coming at rush hour on a wednesday to definitely slow you down a little. it's not the morning rush hour. it's the evening rush hour. here is our storm system. we still have a ways to go. we don't even really have clouds from it yet, but when this gets going, it's going to happen pretty quickly. i think for say the potomac mightlands this may begin around sunrise -- highlands this may begin around sunrise for you. for the rest of us after the morning commute. it's producing some good snows for st. louis, checked a lot of observations out of kansas city. there were one or two spots that pulled about 4 inches out of it, but most places got 1 to 3 inches. i think that's what we're looking at around here tomorrow. 56 degrees today at reagan and dulles, keeps the pavement temperatures warm. so perhaps we won't have too many issues on the roadways, especially since the trucks
