a fire burning on an island in the sacramento delta near antioch. these are live pictures of the situation right now. we have conflicting information about the exact location of this fire. officials in slau know county say it's burning on kimball island. so far, firefighters say the fire has burned through 40 to 50 acres. they tell us at least three homes have been damaged. we've also learned the fire may have been started by trance yents. take a look here at a map we have created. the island is located north of the antioch waterfront. the part of the island burning is inaccessible by car. the only way to get there is by water or helicopter. we have pictures from news chopper 2 before it got dark. fire crews were first called out about 3:00 this afternoon. the coast guard says it evacuated four people. seven others left the island on their own, and three refused to leave choosing to stay behind. at this hour, there are no reports of any injuries. the coast guard says at least two fire boats were called to the area and have been putting water on the

delta is doing great.ight near a historic high, it was earlier in the day and ameritrade came out a short while ago. they beat. sort of a mixed start here for the earnings season. you mentioned you like to watch johnson & johnson i like to watch unilever because they always come out and talk sector by sector and country by country. this is one of the biggest food guys in the world. europe was flat. i was a little disappointed to hear that, they did say southern europe was stabilizing. asia was very mixed. they said china and indonesia were growing, but they singled out vietnam, thailand and south africa, they said they were all below historic rates here. seemed a little puzzled by that. south america's doing great. double digit sales growth. north america had lower volumes but they mentioned personal care was stronger. what's it all mean? i would call it a fairly mixed picture, i would have liked to see more optimistic comments on europe and asia. we're in the middle of earnings season and through with ban

we began with the latest from the delta. firefighters are still on scene this morning putting out hotspots from the fire on kim wahl island. the fire started yesterday afternoon around 230 and has burned three homes and over 40 a.. this is video from a helicopter partnership with abc seven news. heavy smoker the fire was seen from nearby antioch. the fire required air and water support from the u.s. coast guard and cal fire. crews from five different agencies from the area was called in to help. witnesses said the fire started at the boat ramp and spread from one end of the island to the other. officials said all 15 people who live on the island were evacuated safely. the only way to get to the island is by boat and firefighters say that is what made fighting this fire especially difficult. the fire and the delta comes at the same time with a high fire danger warning is in effect in many sections of the bay area. this is due to the unseasonably dry and warm weather. many fire officials say, these conditions are usually only

in fact, delta and southwest, our surprise stock of the year yesterday, are some of the leaders.pital's ray nidal. today is kind of an anomaly. i know you're not analyzing single stocks here. can airlines, so to speak, weather this storm? >> you have to remember we've had a big run up. the market is down today. we've just had winter storms which affected the airlines and the time of the year, january, is usually a weaker time for airline profitability. so having said that on a macro basis, 2014 where the economy looks like it will marginally get better, confidence is returning a little bit, and we have consolidation pretty well finished should be a very good year or the airlines. >> which of the stocks in particular are in the strongest position, ray? >> basically delta appears to be the strongest of the big four, the old airlines which includes american and united and southwest. but there's probably more of an upside opportunity for the guy that is have been lagging and that's united and southwest and they get their problems fixed and dacatch up with delta. >> american, any risk

second up is delta airlines. this is interesting because their stock had a monster run in 2013 up over 100%. today getting an additional pop after the company posted strong december number. but ab ber core research thinks there could be more room to go. ap lists talk about the company's strong free cash flow yield, saying using the cash for all the right purposes and can't forget about the halo effect of all the industry consolidation we've seen. finally last on the list is starbucks. another big winner in 2013. talk to analysts about this stock, there is an overwhelmingly bullish sentiment on it. average analyst price targets talk for a 17% upside in the stock price. basically the story is all about growth. starbucks has a lot of new products that are coming out, trying to pierce the grocery store channel and, of course, you have unit fwroets of more and more chains in asia and india. all about the growth that's ahead for starbucks. they warn me, analysts say the stock is a little pricey, the company is getting

anne. >> reporter: the fire was on kimball island in the delta here behind me. i am in antioch. luckily you can't see any smoke. it's all clear right now. the firefighters put it out at about 9:30 last night. but check out some of this video we shot yesterday of homes burning. three homes were destroyed in this fire as well as several outbuildings and about 50 acres of land on kimball island which is about half of the islands because the island is only a little over 100 acres all told. it is only accessible by boat, which made firefighting a real challenge here. the fire was reported at 2:30 yesterday afternoon starting as a small brush fire but spreading quickly because of our strong winds. >> the lack of rain and the unseasonably dry conditions just makes the fire conditions just as bad as in the middle of fire season. >> reporter: firefighters evacuated four people, others left in their own boats and there are some reports the fire may have been started by squatters staying in some of the abandoned cabins on the island but so far, firefighters have not given out an official c
