we begin with nbc 10's denise nakano. it doesn't look like everything will be back to normal tomorrow in the city. >> reporter: no, not any time soon. the snow emergency has been expanded until further notice so the plows can get through. they have been able to tackle some of the main roads but here at 10th and cantrell the secondary roads still remain a mess. on the left side, if you can even tell, those are cars buried in the snow. shovels hit the blacktop in philadelphia neighborhoods as people used the last of the day's sunlight to work in their favor. >> you've got to dig them out and then park and then particular it out again and dig it out again. >> reporter: people spent the day shoveling out of the fourth largest snowfall in history. whoever owns this car will have a hard time finding it. cars are trapped by snow banks some three feet tall. side streets are snow covered and impassable. >> i don't think anyone can get down here. a backhoe couldn't get down here either. >> reporter: mass transit resumed a regular s

nbc 10's denise nakano is surveying the aftermath of the blizzard. denise, some people still say they haven't seen any snowplows coming down their streets. >> reporter: well, jacklyn, look for yourself out here and the south philadelphia street. this street right now, impassable here in south philadelphia. these cars have not moved in probably four days and many of the sidewalks are looking like this, as well. the city says just be patient. it will get done. all the streets will be cleared a matter of time. the cleanup after the storm entered into a night that saw thawing and a refreeze as temperatures dropped. plows worked as darkness fell. they cut through snow banks. many that made adults look snow. >> the snow drifts and emptying out the driveways and alleyways and you have the huge piles and that's kind of what we're contending with. >> reporter: people living on side streets are showing patience and resilience. >> it takes time to clear 22 inches of snow so i feel like the city is doing what they can do. >> reporter: she's thankful for good neig

good evening, i'm denise nakano. the nbc 10 investigators were the first to uncover details of this agreement. tonight we've also learned bruce castor will be a key defense witness at a hearing next month. a judge will determine whether the agreement castor made with the comedian qualifies as an immunity deal. nbc 10's andraya klein thomas joins us in the operations center. >> usually immunity deals written and signed by a judge. this was a verbal agreement. it led to cosby testifying in a civic case that he gave pills. now whether it can be used against him. former district attorney bruce castor is now a key witness in bill cosby's criminal defense. castor did not prosecute the comedian in 2005 on sexual assault allegations brought by temple employee andrea constand. >> we need him to appear in court that was his e-mail and there was an agreement. >> castor will have to testify about the agreement he said was struck with cosby's attorney. castor detailed the agreement in an e-mail sent last september to then distric

. >> nbc 10's denise nakano is live at camden police headquarters. denise, what's going on there? >> reporter: well, definitely much more to this story. police are now calling the alleged victim the person of interest. >> hey! >> reporter: camden county detectives are talking to witnesses and those involved in a disturbing attack caught on video december 28th, and shared 50,000 times on social media. >> that's just wrong. >> reporter: the video shows a woman screaming, my baby, as a group of four to five women hurled blows at her head. >> my baby! >> reporter: the attack sparked concern for the woman and what she claimed to be her unborn child. >> people being violent and evil and disrespectful toward a pregnant woman. >> reporter: police say the video is only a snapshot of actual events. the woman drove to camden from philadelphia armed with a cane or crowbar to carry out threats of violence in an ongoing dispute. she sprayed mace at the women. see one woman wiping her eyes. then threatening to grab a gun from her car. authorities also believe the woman is not actually pregnant.

i'm denise nakano.both teens are seriously hurt after police say someone shot each of them several times. officers found the victims lying along east sixth street near lynn avenue in bethlehem. that was around 6:30 tonight. aundrea cline-thomas joins us live from the scene. what are you learning? >> reporter: denise, this is not a secluded area. the teens were shot near a church. the police have cleared the scene within the last 45 minutes. this investigation is ongoing. police are busy following up on leads. at this hour no arrests have been made. we saw the crime scene unit combing through the scene. police arrived in the 1500 block of east sixth street around 6:30 this evening. they found a 14 and 16-year-old boys lying in the street. they were walking when someone drove up and started firing. they were rushed to st. luke's hospital. one was in critical condition, one in serious condition. we spoke to a woman, this is what else she saw. >> the first one was down over there. and then the other one loo

i'm denise nakano. this is all part of a one-two weather punch. first the snow, then we'll get hit by an arctic blast. tonight we have team coverage of the weather threat. we begin with nbc 10 chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz. when with ke expect this arctic blast? >> well, by the time everybody gets out and outside in the morning, you'll feel it. it's not coming in the next few hours. traffic is generally moving okay. you can see snow on the side of the roads on i-95 so it gives you an idea of some of the side roads, the sidewalks, driveways could have some slippery spots. but the visibility is improving tremendously. the snow has pretty much moved out of most of the area. we still have a winter weather advisory for the coastal counties in new jersey. just until 7:00 as the last of the snow is just about to move offshore. you can see that on the live radar right near atlantic city, cape may county starting to see that snow move out, ocean county will be seeing it move out. the rest of the area of course it has already ended. this is

i'm denise nakano. it's a story we broke on the nbc 10 news app today.bi is involved trying to verify the claims of an anonymous tipster. the tip says archer is connected to a radical group. he is charged with attempted murder and the tipster says three other more radical men are still free in philadelphia. drew smith explains how police are reacting to this. >> reporter: philadelphia police told the officers about this tip and other agencies. they are cautioning everyone to be cautious. as an added step, nempb the patrol cars will ride with a partner. police say the unprovoked ambush of one of their own continues to weigh on them. >> tough week for us in this building. >> reporter: edward archer is charged with attempted murder. he confessed to doing it to islam and pledged allegiance to the islamic state. an anonymous woman claims the threat is not over. we have a copy of the report where she told an officer the defendant is not the most radical of the four and she said three other men still frequent the 6100 block of pine and for police to be careful.

i'm denise nakano. >> i'm jacqueline london. the snow is making it hard to get around. people could have to deal with ice. >> the weather team is tracking that threat. but first our fleet of news vehicles is traveling around the region to show us how people are digging out from the blizzard of 2016. we begin with nbc 10's mitch blacher live in news force 10. >> reporter: guys, we spent most of our day in allentown as we have driven around the lehigh valley. i want to show you what we're seeing, it's pretty common. taillights, traffic stopped for the most part because some of the roads are in rough shape. the main roads, they are passable but you notice throughout the lehigh valley, allentown especially, that the roads what were two-lane roads are one lane. there is not enough space to put the snow anywhere else. we're dealing in allentown specifically with 400 miles of roads, more than 100 of them are narrow alleyways, simply too small to get to. there have been 45 plows just for the city alone going all day all night since this storm passed. the city has asked for help
