denise zarella takes a tour of some of that damage. >> it was like quarter after 1:00, i heard boom! i'm like oh, my gosh what was that. heard steps away from her front door. the wall of this abandoned building blown over by strong winds. >> we looked out the window, didn't see nothing. come down a little bit further, the whole building was gone. i was like oh, my god, look at all this. i'm glad nobody was hurt. hope there's no animals in there, too. >> reporter: now that the sun has come up we can get a better look at what happened. there are bricks all over the place but it appears that what happened is a wall that was part of this old building came hi now see that it took down with it, it looks like, a lot of electrical wire was. and in between those bricks. on the other side of town along kinsman at east 73rd, more wind damage. the facade on st. teresa holiness science church now in pieces on the ground. the trail of damage continued along east 9th where cleveland police say a construction wire snapped, shattering glass that ended up in the street. crews spent a few hours cleanin

denise zarella is getting answers about how important carbon monoxide detecters really are. >> reporter: firefighters detected high levels of carbon monoxide inside lorain county employees reported they suddenly felt sick. luckily everyone was ok because employees did the right thing when they started to feel the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. there are three basic symptoms you should be familiar with in case you have high levels of the odorless colorless gas in your home. they are a headache, dizziness and nausea. this is the time of the year when emergency crews say they get called out because of co poisoning. >> we would see probably like the start up of the really cold weather when thete start working. working really hard. and, maybe they had a problem last year that didn't get corrected, they made it through the winter and now coming into this winter, the problem's still there. >> reporter: and that fire captain that you just heard from said that any plug-in carbon monoxide detecter will usually do. make sure, though, that you have two of them just in case one doesn't work.
