good morning, dennis. i'm sure a lot of our viewers are going, finally there's a lot of progress going on at the bay bridge. yeah. the project managers haven't told us which two days it will happen this week, only to say it will happen this week. but take a look at how it's going to be done. as you can see from this animation film, the cable will be anchored into the east end of the bridge and travel up and over the bridge's single tower and then goes down from the single tower to the west end of the bridge. it wraps around the west end. bridge, goes up to the single tower and back down into the east end of the bridge. what's different about this suspension bridge compared to other traditional suspension bridges is that the cable for the bay bridge is going to be anchored on this end of the bridge. the other bridges in the world, they are anchored into the ground. now, the cable is pretty strong. it's about five tons, weighs 5 tons, 10.5 million pounds. it's 2.5 feet wide. it's almost a mile long. the cabl
