dennis, thanks for coming on the show tonight. at what rate are you seeing applications returned to you? >> well, we're getting a pretty good rate now that, about 40%. we're doing a good many applications each week and seem to be getting works lately. gerri: dennis, that is about two in five of the applications you're getting are coming back to you and you're a broker with some 16 years worth of experience. you've been around for a while. you know how to do this business. what do you think is going on? why are they getting rejected? >> we're still having problems with the website. it has gotten better than it was. we're still having lots of problems. too many things trying to go within that system one time trying to verify information and just making a mess of everything. gerri: i want to show folks one of the questions you got back from the website. it was obamacare applicction that was returned to you. the person was told, you need to send the marketplace proof you're a citizen, and yet, this person was a social security recipie

dennis wrote that book 15 years ago, it's still in print. so my goal is to get prager and brooks and myself out on a happiness tour and to see if we can't bring a little joy as opposed to political grimness. i also was move today write this book, which is not a political book. i've written 15 books, a dozen of which have been on politics, two on my christian faith and one on happiness. i may rest a while. 2012 was a grim result for me -- perhaps for many of you. i was deeply invested emotionally and professionally in the success of the romney campaign. i thought it was important for the country, and it was a blow that he didn't win. i think it would have been better for the country had he won. and as a result, i didn't want to write about politics last year, and i try and write a book pretty much every other year at least, and i was due to write one. so i thought about what would i do. and the topic happiness i heard arthur speak about, and then i thought to myself i have been in broadcast since 1989. i started for kfi on the radio in 1989 o

dennis gartman of the gartman letter. dennis is not seeing panic yet. that goes to your point about come pl complacency in the market. >> if you're trading, you should never be panicked. it should be opportune. investors sit around and have been rewarded handily. you have to have a good look at the market and say, is this a time where i pull the rip cord and re-evaluate? you can get back in. we'll see what happens if we trade down to 1725, if we hold or bounce. dennis says 1475. i'll go one further. i think you could push down to 1425 if the technicals start to break down, which was the low we made last year at day one of 2013. >> initially, you're saying 1725, as a base. >> that's -- if you go back and look september 19th, i think it was the day, we stopped out 1725. we traded down to 1650. past resistance becomes support. >> that would be a base, not a bouillabaisse. >> and you would look at 1700. >> roughly 1700. that's your 200-day moving average, if you take a regression channel all the way back to 2012. that would be a two-standard devuation move.
