we got judge napolitano and dennis michael lynch has been warning about this for weeks. he has eyewitness accounts from the boarder. trace gallagher starts us off live with what is driving this surge, trace? >> megyn, we've heard for months people are fleeing central america to escape the gang violence but the ambassador to the u.s. says that's not true. he says they are coming for two reasons, one to meet up with family here and two because smugglers guarantee to get them into the u.s. in fact, many illegal immigrant whose arrive here believe the u.s. has a catch and release policy if they cross the boarder, they can stay and look at the increase. 6,500 unaccompanied kids crossed in 2011. this year it estimated to be 90,000 and next year 147,000. many in texas, california and oklahoma are housing them and look at the pictures leaked by boarder patrol agents showing children crowded into chain linked holding centers. food, showers, beds in short supply. >> just imagening being in their shoes, they have terrified faces. they don't really want to speak because they are sca
