and people were able to say a direct thank you to dennis richmond. many of us were almost scared to say it. but as you're about to see here in these next couple of pictures, we saw dennis get a little bit emotional and we never saw that in the newsroom. he was all business 100% of the time. high expectations. i never saw the man wear jeans or a tee shirt. i mean, he was 110% the whole time. but just to be able to really take a moment and say thank you to him for his expectation of excellence, for what he meant to us as kids growing up in the bay area, as journalists who were able to work with and for him, you know, the things that dennis taught us are still in effect here in our newsroom every single day. and so i just can't say enough about his last night in the newsroom, people who'd already worked all day long, you know, put, put their regular lives aside, came in. and, you know, here you see dennis with some of his closest friends in the newsroom, off camera for sure. and i remember those tears like they were yesterday. and it feels like it was y
