political director dennis welch with insight on the ballots. it sounds like registrar's office had control over some things but not others. >>reporter: some of the problem we're seeing here now is a rule that i mean this is a good rule is that the state has to come in and certify all the ballot counting machines. now that is a good thing. what's bad here for the voters who want results now who want to know what's going on here they didn't get that test done until october 28th so the start counting those early ballots until november 1st. now at the pace they are going at right now they can count about a hundred thousand per day but they got about 170,000 of those early ballots they still have to counts again remember throughout october early voting there was a record number of early ballots sent into the county over one million of them. we're talking about a lot of ballots that they had to count. they also expect another 200,000 early ballots to be uncounted tonight that were left we're looking at about 370 to 400,000 ballots that are going to b
