being in the world with becoming the president of the united states of america and governor of georgia depa and working for the carter center and big and depowing family and thousands of friends, and living to be 91 years old the first of october. so i have had -- i'm thankful and hopeful. >> president carter, from voice of america, i wanted to ask what has been -- you've said you've sort of taken a pragmatic approach to the treatment. what's been the most difficult part of the treatment? >> well, i haven't had a difficult treatment aspect yet. the liver surgery was extensive. about 1/10 of my liver but it healed up quickly and i have had minimal pain, and the first treatment i had yesterday will be followed this afternoon by radiation. and that will be every three weeks for four times and then they will re-assess, so i haven't had any -- >> will it be difficult to step away from -- >> well, i really wanted to go to nepal to build houses. and i was very hopeful about that, but if it interrupts the reatment regimen, then i think i would get the treatment. just m cbs 46 news, wondering. you t
