now the department of education has undergone a number of changes to prevent any of the problems this year but there's no guarantee that when students log on to take the test beginning today that they will not run into any issues. the state said the students were required to go on-line to take practice tests ahead of time, reviews of the system also put in place to try to avoid some of the issues from last year. last year the tests were plagued with technical problems, the system was overloaded and some students had trouble taking their exams. the state says the florida standards assessment or fsa defenses against the cyber attacks. many parents are concerned about possible issues and some simply are not even sure this testing method is even effective, an effective way of measuring student achievement. however, student administrators say the tests are needed and as far as technical problems they are not expecting any issues this year. >> because things will be put in place we believe we'll be in a better position this year than we were in last year's administration. >> we're losing va
