some want to take the department of energy completely out of the process and just allow companies to build l.n.g. facilities, let the market work. and that is actually an approach i advocate and i've joined with others on that type of legislation. and that legislation has bipartisan support. i think we could get it to the floor -- i think if we could get it to the floor, we'd have more than 60 votes to get passed. others have advocated a more cautious approach, which is essentially continuing the current state of play wherein d.o.e. can take years before they make a decision on these l.n.g. export terminals. so what i offer today is the l.n.g. certainty act, which i believe is a compromise between those two points of view. it would provide for an expedited process but do it in a way where we keep the department of energy in the equation. and, you know, why is it -- why is it so important that we act now? well, this is a bill that is very much about jobs. we're right now on a motion to go to a bill that purportedly would create jobs. now, i don't think that that bill will create jobs.
