for the past two years, my department of health has been working to advance access to the state with ent. we have put a brand-new state-of-the-art fifteens in the back of ambulances across south dakota. we've also worked with indian health service was to get the devices at no charge in ambulances and in their crews. we also just completed a comprehensive analysis of the current state in south dakota. we had over 400 stakeholder meetings over the course of eight months. later this year the department will roll out a $7.5 million grant program to ambulance services. this is going to suffer the implementation of regional houses and much more. the transport times range from a few minutes to over an hour. during those transports, professionals are in the back of the ambulance caring for patients and often times alone. south dakota changed that. we are the first state in the country to implement. that means we are using telemedicine to connect physicians, paramedics with of the ems personnel in the field. we work with our partners to do it and there's nothing else like it in the country. it
