we spoke earlier to the leader of derbyshire county council with their efforts to help businesses., i know. those pictures were from earlier this year when i did a piece for north west tonight about the fire service in lancashire opening their recruitment window. it was coincidently something i had been thinking about for quite a few yea rs, thinking about for quite a few years, having a go. that was my dad, the guy that was in those pictures that you just sell. he was a firefighter for many years in lancashire. he retired a couple of yea rs lancashire. he retired a couple of years ago. i thought, when the recruitment window opened this time, i would apply and see what happened. surprisingly to me, i was accepted. i‘m starting my training to be a firefighter in eight months, a month tomorrow, in fact. i am not surprised they snapped you up. if we don‘t see you before, we hope the training goes well and that you love your new career. thank you very much. all the best for you and thank you for taking us nationwide. thank you. if you would like to see more on any of those stories, you
