derek ward is live at the dupont station this morning where passengers will be catching buses instead of trains. good morning. >> reporter: indeed they will. gorm. we're here on 20th street. this second that runs through dupont circle. the 1500 block is usually the scene of a farmer's market this weekend but it has given over to shuttle service as metro works around these closings. here's what's going on. this is as far south as you can get on the red line strictly going by rail. it's suspended between dupont circle and the noma gallaudet stations. shuttle buss will be waiting to help you continue on. from here north rail service will continue with trains running at ten-minute intervals between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and the regular weekend schedule on the other hours. some of these shuttle buses will replicate rail service stopping at each of the stations. that ride will take you 50 minutes longer. others will continue to key points within the work zone like dupont circle, gallaudet. the key thing to remember is there will be no red line service through metro central or gallery. >>
