that's where news 4's derrick ward is live with the latest. derrick, any injuries here? >> reporter: we understand there was one injury to the driver of the vehicle. we're looking at this csx train now. a southbound csx train on these tracks that run parallel to route 1 here in beltsville. we understand this accident happened just after 6:00 a.m. a car somehow came in contact with this train. the car has been, since, cleared from the tracks, and as we said, the driver was taken away. we don't know the extent of his or her injuries. however, there was some concern, because this freight train has a few tanker cars on it, with hazardous materials. they have cleared that these tanker cars have not ruptured or anything, it so looks like this train is preparing to continue south on its way. we don't know the extent of the injuries to the driver. there was one person on board the ain, one operator. he was not injured. however, as we said, the driver of that car did sustain some injuries. again, we don't know the extent of those injuries. he has been hospitalized at this point.
