joining us, as well, is derrick johnson from the naacp. mr. johnson, your reaction? >> you know, 191 days since breonna was killed sleeping in her bed and the response is one person charged with a crime that's truly does not recommegn her murder. this is aen dimt on the criminal justice system across this country. why do you have a grand jury system? why are we allowing police officers to operate like gangs in the black community and refusing for the dignity of black lives to exist? this is something that must be addressed at the ballot box, in november, so these officers who are still subjected to federal charg charges can be brought to justice. the taylor family, the louisville, kentucky, should not continue to experience this injustice, nor should black folks across the country. >> mr. johnson, again, i'm trying to focus in on what this is versus what was on the table. do you view this as effectively a win for two officers who had faced potential charges under this review and a partial win for officer hankison who's not facing any charges related to homicide? >> i

. >>> joining me now is derrick johnson, president of the naacp. let me get your reaction to the news we've heard out of louisville and where you think the situation and the mood, the sentiment of the people on the streets goes next in. >> extreme disappointment. it amplifies the statement of black lives matter. re this is a sad commentary, a bad message globally, showing our criminal justice system, we have a broken reality for black america, for some today on the streets of louisville, as many of our young people they're angry, frustrated, they don't see a way forward and we must do something differently. only thing we heard from attorney general is political speak as he positioned himself for a potential appointment. this nation deserves more. >> what are the issues in terms of facts that were presented according to attorney general, what are the issues that you take up with the way he presented or what he presented, what do you still think are the questions that weren't addressed that would give you reason to doubt that this process is bringing

also the president and ceo of the naacp derrick johnson. let's talk about the naacp. you've issued a statement saying the justice system failed breonna taylor. so what's your reaction to these charges, what we just heard from the lawyer for breonna taylor's boyfriend kenneth walker? >> well, it shows you that we are actually seeing another broken system. the value of police officers over the life of someone who was taken innocently. what's going to happen to all of the citizens of louisville, kentucky, who know that not only are they subject to being killed by law enforcement, but the district attorney or special prosecutor or state attorney will not hold officers accountable? this is something that we are seeing far too often across the country. we need police reform. we have some really good police officers, but we have far too many police officers who are abusing their authority. and there is no accountability to reign them in. and finally, wolf, this whole system of the grand jury needs to be abolished. it's a secret process. there is no way to rebut what you don'
