that is where we find news4's derrick ward. derrick, i know moments ago you showed us that crews are out there repairing that guardrail, but it looks like police are now asking the public for help in this investigation. >> reporter: well, indeed, they are. take a look behind me here. you can see there are crews from the maryland state police. what they're doing is accident reconstruction, very important, of course, in an accident where there is a fatality, as we have learned that there is in this case. as you said, one person has died. one of two people medevaced from the scene. take a look at that scene earlier this morning. now, this is southbound i-95 just south of lorton road east somewhere between lorton road and the creek. now, we are told that this bus was southbound on 95 when a white sedan -- this according to witnesses -- a white sedan may have either hit or cut this bus off, causing it to crash into that guardrail. it rode along the guardrail for some yards and then went over the guardrail, ended up in a ravine. we're

derrick ward news4. >> a lot of new information there. thanks, derrick. >>> prince george's county police are investigating a dispute that turned deadly. it happened in the 3900 block of warner avenue in landover hills. someone called police last night and asked them to check on the folks living there. officers arrived and found a man shot to death. a woman was seriously hurt. police are not saying if that woman was shot as well. they're only saying that she had traumatic injuries. she's in the hospital right now but is expected to survive. police have not released any names and they aren't saying if these two people knew each other. >>> bring relisha home. that is the message to kahlil tatum from people at the d.c. shelter where the little girl lived. that shelter is the last place relisha was seen with tatum. what's so startling about all of this is that that was about a month ago. relisha was not reported missing until this week. a closer look at tatum right now. he is a janitor at the shelter, and relisha's mom allowed him to take her

derrick ward is live outside the ntsb headquarters in downtown d.c. what's new derek? >> reporter: weree're ht the plaza. this is a nexus for agencies involved. ntsb, faa and department of transportation. they're in this same general area. it's not clear which country will lead the investigation into the plane's days appearance. the ntsb go team has been dispatched in route because of the travel time to malaysia, they were dispatched last night. we're learning there are u.s. resources operating near the straights. u.s. navy aircraft and ships are in international waters near the last known location of the boeing 777. it disappeared march 8th. we have people going along with the ntsb to investigate. these include the faa and boeing as the search continues. it's not clear if the u.s. will be the lead agency. it dpsd if this is found in international waters or waters controlled by the other nations. back to you. >> thanks. stay with nbcwashington.com for continuing coverage. we'll send a push alert to your smart phone when news breaks. >>> now to a situation in laurel. a
