the family of ryan bolinger is suing the city of des moines. des moines police officer vanessa miller shot and killed bolinger... who was unarmed... in june. miller claimed she feared for her life when bolinger walked up to her car following a chase.. so she shot him through the window of her squad car. a grand jury and an internal police investigation cleared miller. but the lawsuit... filed today in federal court... claims miller was negligent and didn't receive proper training. we're learning more about that outbreak of food poisoning at roosevelt high school in des moines. but we still don't know exactly how dozens of people were sickened. the polk county department of public health says 58 teachers and staff members were sickened at the school on wednesday october 21st. the next day the school was shut down because so many staff members had fallen ill. health officials say the sickness was caused by a bacteria present in meat served at a potluck at the school. however can't say whether the outbreak was caused by improper cooking or imprope
