in the desert southwest and time to water the cactus. it is the season. we have a look at the east bay. mound diablo from dublin looking to the area that has lifted that mountain. back of the bay, we have low clouds or the golden gate bridge. concord 80 degrees and chilly in san francisco at 66 and san jose 77 and santa rosa 76. the high pressure that brought all of that moisture up from the south is now beginning to ease up so the rain we got is confine to the sierra and not heading to the west towards the bay area. that low pressure does continue to spin offshore and with that high in place it warms up gently inland in the low 90s and upper 80s tomorrow for the warm spots in the bay. low clouds will remain cool at the beach. >>> this is always our big clue as to what is happening with the low clouds this time of the year and they are filling along the shore. not a lot of sunshine by 8:00 a.m. around the peninsula and east bay shoreline and morin. elsewhere we will get sunshine and the sun comes out towards the coast by later in the day. so nice day tomo

as we have a look at the west coast, high pressure is over the desert southwest, it eased a bit and sothe temperatures and also that monsoonal flow around discovery bay and walnut creek. stable weather returned. in fact, the most stable weather on earth is that marine layer that is on shore with the low clouds filling in through the bay. burning back to the shoreline later in the day. so, don't be surprised if you see low clouds by the beach. and people with blue skin who are shivering out there. temperatures warm into the low 90s and the warmest spot inland. fog and the clouds at the shoreline and a mild week ahead. and san francisco is almost to average with 66 degrees. concord at 89. a degree above average. 71 in oakland. 92 degrees. redwood city has 83. 78 for mountain view and 83. over in the east bay, the numbers, upper 80s with the rare exception like brentwood, 93 degrees. santa rosa will hit 87 tomorrow. 80 degrees in san rafael. and finally in the 90s for lake county. 94 at ukiah, and 91:00 degrees at cloverdale. extended forecast, numbers in the low 90s all week inland. in t

this is all subtropical moisture that's been lifting in from the desert southwest. you can see that flow. we were hoping we would get a stray shower overnight. did not quite make it into the east bay. hoping because it just keeps it interesting. but we have high pressure building in and with that drier air mass that subtropical moisture tries to make it into our back door just evaporates rapidly. so the bottom line is today we are starting off cloudy. we'll end up with sunshine away from the immediate seashore. we'll have a warmer day than yesterday. again, when we only have highs in the 60s and a few low 70s in the north bay and gradual warming throughout the week. now, around the state, 89 state capital. a few clouds from that subtropical moisture in the high sierra. also some rain around yosemite 96 degrees in fresno and high 60s in monterey bay once the clouds lift. our numbers stacking up in the mid-60s in pacifica through ocean beach into the sunset district. 60s, 70s common around the rim of the bay this morning including richmond, berkeley, alameda and in oa
