devin, what is going on down there? >> reporter: right now, as you can see behind me, this is the flemings restaurant, it is a steakhouse on the front side of the stanford shopping center. earlier this evening, probably 90 minutes ago or so, there was at least one, possibly two shots fired into that restaurant. according to the palo alto police department, those gunshots were apparently fired from a moving vehicle on el camino riel. police say they have searched the area along el camino riel, one or two shots were fired, the mall has not been shut down. police did say they have gone to the mall, there is no evidence that the gunmen is inside the mall at this time, or that there is any ongoing threat or danger to other customers and shoppers out here tonight. according to witnesses, the gunmen and possibly get away forever getaway driver fled northbound in a black chevy car, just a vague description of the vehicle. we don't know if anyone specifically inside this restaurant, we do know from this shooting from across the
