. >> devin fehely joint is now with some new developments from the reunification center that was set up for those families earlier today. >> reporter: it has been a long, grueling and anxious day for these families. families were told to come down to the county government office to the reunification center for the purposes of today. if they had a relative that might have been at the vta yard, and they were not able to contact them, they came down here looking for information and answers. they came it down looking for some kind of word about what was happening to their families. now, for a handful of those families they did not get answers right away. they have been waiting 12 hours to learn the fate of their family members. and one of those families was gracious enough to talk to us for a few moments about the heartbreak they are feeling and the anxiety of waiting for definitive word about what happened to their loved ones. >> we know he was there, and we have been trying to contact him since the morning time since it happened and he has not been returning any calls or text messages.
