here's a look at the dewpoints, this is the way that we measure the amount of moisture in the air, in this matter you're under 60 degrees you're very comfortable. we're in the 40s. millville, wildwood and dover, 53 degrees. post tropical storm arthur as it continues to push north and moving into the canadian maritimes. it lost it's tropical c that's why we -- characteristics, that's why we put post on it's name. we're dealing with the outer bands and heavy rains and gusty winds in new england, as well. as that continues to pull away, we have high pressure building in from the west. that means not much going on, that means a lot of sunshine afternoon, a lot of bright blue, pleasant breeze out of the northwest. canadian maritimes will be seeing that storm. humidity wise it's nice and comfortable. 83 today. 86, 87 tomorrow, here comes that warm front right here, we get into the soup again, monday afternoon it turns hazy, hot and oppressively humid. it will feel like the upper 90s were air temperatures 94, 96 degrees. jersey shore, dangerous rip currents, 59 degrees that's the ocean water

that dewpoint has really shot up. the dewpoint was in the upper 50s to start the day. now it is 70 degrees. so that means that we have lots of moisture in the air. so when the next round of rain arrives, it is going to fall and it is going to hit the ground and not going to evaporate. so the early morning showers are possible with the first round. as we head into the rest of the day on sunday, scattered thunderstorms, that means some rain will pass over, and then might be dry for an hour or two, and then another round of rain arrives. looks like we could have some heavy thunderstorms, even severe thunderstorms in the forecast. as i mentioned before, it will be hot and humid all day as well. a 12 hour loop of satellite and radar shows that we have that one line of thunderstorms that is moving through right now, you can see it right here, and another one is approaching, it is moving through the pittsburgh metro area at the moment and that could at least at the very least clip the northern half of the metro area. look at this, on 9 future cast, 2:00 a.m., a cluster of hea

when it isn't raining it's going to be oppressive out there with the dewpoints above 70 for a part of day. as we take a look down to the tropics we still have tropical storm arthur beginning to make its slight move off to the north. maximum sustained winds have rise den to 60 miles per hour. that's better than yesterday's 40. as this storm pushes towards the north and we started talking about this yesterday but even more so at noon yesterday it does look like the latest tracks are pulling the storm farther out to sea so that we might get a little rain in the morning especially down at the shore. the afternoon should be dry but the big issue especially as it dries out and people head to the shore rip currents that will be a big concern on friday and probably saturday as well. your seven-day, 95 today. oppressively humid. afternoon storms there could be drenchers. tomorrow, humid, 88 degrees and there could be some more drenching storms. today's storms have a better chance of being strong and gusty. tomorrow the big issue is probably just that downpour producing storm variety. and then
