i figure e-commerce must be big for dhl. is it as big as it is more domestically oriented or dhl as well? >> it's for both of us. there's a lot of focus on the domestic side but from an international side business is booming. we're looking at helping small and mid-sized companies get access to markets they never had before. we're seeing our outbound volumes grow from u.s. companies accessing international markets. big ones. big buyers in say canada and australia tended to a lot of online shopping in goods from the u.s. and americans are buying from china and hong kong. we see big volume flows coming in there. we're growing 30% plus year over year. >> greg, we have seen fedex and ups both raise their rates. their shipping rates took effect earlier this month. fed ex was raising it's fuel surcharge even though prices are down. they're saying they're doing this because they need to beef up their systems. have you made similar moves? >> we haven't. we do a general price increase usually at the start of the year. increase at the

dhl has an experiment in germany where they are delivering pharmaceuticals to an island. are going to start to see it happening in places with high-value -- small, high value packages delivered to safe areas. emily: is there any reason it won't happen? chris: regulations. in the united states, it is not legal. emily: i know the faa is considering changing the rules. how are those conversations going? chris: they are going. the faa's mandate is the safety of the national airspace. it was designed around manned aircraft. relatively large aircraft, human pilots and passengers. what we have here is a completely different kind of problem. these are small vehicles. i mean, this is large by the standards. they can be as small as your hand. drones are now so small, flying so low and smart that they can essentially navigate the space themselves. we do not need air traffic control. we don't need to treat them like a 747. we are arguing for a sandbox. tell us what altitude, distance, weight, and speed. what zones and areas they are allowed to fly in, and then create this open spectr

- i'm sorry, let's bring in our guest host, ceo of waste management, fedex board member, ups, both, dhlivering boxes. >> all busy this time of year leading up to the peak. >> recycling things, aren't they? >> absolutely, absolutely. recycling, the best thing to recycle is card board. cut the tape, flatten them out, and put them out there to recycle them. >> do you make money on them? >> card board, yes. any other material right now, no. biggest offender is glass. you get little benefit from glass, but it's expensive. what we do with the customers is saying, let's have the conversation, we can recycle anything you want us to, anything. the question is, how much do you want to pay to have it recycled? looking at the greenhouse benefitings per dollar, glass falls off the table most of the time. >> who pays you to be aware of the greenhouse gas benefits? government through subsidies? you don't get any -- >> we don't get government subsidies. >> they decide there's a benefit to lower it? >> they decide if they want to recycle a broad range of materials or if there's -- if you want to be cost
