diane macedo from the fox business network has the details. >>> the justice department is suing s&p saying high ratings to mortgage bonds that tanked in value and fuelled the 2008 financial crisis. from september 2004 to october 2007 s&p knowingly defrauded investors in hopes of decreasing revenue and market share. the ratings firm suggest it is being unfairly punished to predict a housing maelt down no one else predicted either. it was without factual or legal mir rit. sources tell the wall street journal for 4 months both sides discussed a potsible settlement with the case. a deal could leave it more vulnerable to other lawsuits. while this is the first government suit of its kind many investors say they were misled by ratings and dozens of the cases have been thrown out on the grounds that the ratings are opinions protected by the government. government is expected to take a legal approach. it will be interesting to see how this one plays out. >> diane macedo from fox business. thank you so much. >> it is 60 minutes to the hour. coming up, the doubcouple doubl their pleasure when they t
