we are joined on the phone now by diane haggerty. she is another witness who saw the shooting as it took place, diane, can you tell us what you witnessed? >> we thought it was three people were standing at the kiosk and we thought -- i don't know what is happening now. we have to get down. this is not good. any way, what it was, that we had to, um, we heard the shots and we thought that they were -- i'm sorry. they're making us get down because i don't know what is happening. they are closing up the place. >> where are you right now? that is diane haggerty you've been listening to, she is another eyewitness to the shooting. she is apologizing to us and she doesn't need to, because it is a active situation and people inside of the airport are asking people to get down. and brian, i would suspect, obviously can't be sure of this, but perhaps they are now doing some sort of a sweep or what have you. she was unable to tell us what part of the airport she is still in. >> it is all being done to protect the people still at the airport. jst

diane haggerty why i is back with us. i mentioned diane earlier. diane was inside the airport. first of all, diane, we wanted to make sure you were okay. they were sweeping the terminal? >> yes. no. they were patting us down. >> they patted you down. they went from passenger to passenger. >> passenger -- patted everybody down. >> were they explaining that that's what they have to do? >> no. no. they just told us stand there and you'll get patted down zwrsh. >> certainly you understand why. >> oh, i understand -- i understand why. as i said, you know, it is just -- as i said, when you see, you know, that's like in the movies. i was behind a kiosk. i had a perfect picture of him coming and walking up and down shooting the people. i mean, i just can't believe that that was possible. >> diane, you were at a kiosk in what part of the airport when you first saw him? were you in the baggage claim area? where were you? >> yes. that's where he shot in the baggage claim. he shot everybody between two and three. >> between two and three? meaning -- >> the carry sells. >> oh, between carou

we begin here with diane haggerty, working at a kiosk in the baggage claim, where he then opened fire. >> i was behind the kiosk. i had a perfect picture of him coming and walking up and down, shooting the people. i mean, i just can't believe that that was possible. >> so, diane, you were at a kiosk in what part of the airport? when you first saw him. were you in the baggage claim area? where were you? >> yes, that's where he shot. in the baggage claim. he shot everybody. we heard the noise. we thought it was -- we thought it was firecrackers, wise kids were doing. and then, we looked down, because i knew where he came in, and we looked again, and we saw him with the gun going up and down. >> yeah. >> everybody said, get out, get out. he did nothing but swing the gun and shoot. >> people started yelling and screaming and running towards any door, exit to get out of there. he basically had a .9 millimeter gun, went through probably a couple dozen rounds. once he came into the terminal, he came through door two, he went towards the right, towards carousel two and three, and just started
