let me pick up with where i left off with brian dietz.ow do you respond to mitt romney who says the obama administration gave everything to the unions and that unions are essentially one of the reasons why the auto industry was failing? >> you know, again, it's so disrespectful to our membership. and, hourly salary workers, all stakeholders, suppliers, debt holders, dealerships, companies white, clar, blue clar we made significant sacrifices to save the industry. for him to not recognize and really, he should be congratulating the workers for making the sacrifices they did and all of the manufacturing jobs that we saved in this country. and in the most recently recent negotiations, what better example of business and labor and government and community all working together? he doesn't want people to work together. he wants to polarize this country. he insults all of our inten tellgention. it was four weeks ago, six week weeks ago, he was here in michigan saying again that president obama made the wrong decisions on the auto -- saving the a

dietz, you mentioned the pro proposed voluntary guidance and that seems to have been backburnered if i understand correctly. and i wonder, you know, with the competitive foods regulations that are going to be coming out in the next couple of weeks, if the voluntary guidance hasn't been the place where we can push to create industry standard on foods marketed to children. if the competitive foods standard might be a de facto standard if industry needs to meet their requirements to sell their foods in schools, if we'll have more widespread impact in other places where foods are marketed to children? >> i'll let kevin answer the competitive foods piece, and they are really two separate issues, because the interagency working group was focused on marketing standards, and i think that the principles that we put in place were sound principles. the most important of which was that a food marketed to children had to contain a meaningful amount of food contained by the dietary guidelines. i think it's unfortunate that congress required the ftc to do a cost benefit analysis before that report

jonathan dietz is the investigator reporter. jonathan, good morning. >> good morning. it was 33 years ago this very day that etan patz, police say, that etan patz was strangled, his body put in a bag and left out amid the garbage. now police say they're armed with a lengthy confession and they say despite that the suspect never explains why he went after that beautiful little boy. police say 6-year-old etan patz was lured to his death by a killer who offered him a can of soda. authorities say grocery worker pedro hernandez led him towards his corner store. >> he then led him into the basement of the bodega, choked him there, and disposed of the body by putting it into a plastic bag, and placing it into the trash. >> reporter: the nypd announced that this missing child case, that haunted a city, and the nation, for 33 years, had finally been solved. based almost entirely on the suspect's own words. >> we have a signed confession. he spoke for 3 1/2 hours. >> reporter: hernandez was 19 at the time of the crime, lived and worked in the neighborhood, and had a clean record

we've got jonathan dietz, an investigative correspondent for wnbc. what's the story? >> the police went to camden, new jersey yesterday and arrested the gentleman, pedro hernandez, brought him in for questioning. he has not been charged. he claims he dragged the boy into a store, luring him in using candy, took out a knife, later killed the child and disposed of the body. that is the claim. the problem is there's no corroboration to this account at this time. it's 33 years later. tomorrow is the anniversary of his disappearance. so there are a lot of questions. is this guy telling the truth? police have to take it seriously because he worked and lived in that neighborhood, and he's making these claims. but they have no corroboration at this time. but they are working around the clock with the manhattan d.a.'s office to try to figure out is this the killer. >> he's been tied to the case in the past. in the past, we have had claims before. so are police taking this seriously, or are they concerned that this may be another false lead? >> you're hearing it from both sides
