dion.at around 4:00 this afternoon with reports of a man shooting airearm. san jose police say officers responded to this area along como, como drive in east san jose. this is right near the intersection of story road and the capital expressway. now you can see it was a very active scene earlier this evening. san jose police claims the suspect was still shooting a firearm when they arrived. police say the suspect was hit by officer gunfire and taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and that no officers were shot. police giving this brief update on seen video evidence. >> we have to review body worn camera video that we have to look at witnesses we have to interview, as well as the officers have yet to be interviewed. so there's still a lot of information. we don't know. we're learning things as they're developing at this time. we don't think there's any other injuries other than the suspect, but we are still canvasing, combing through evidence to determine whether or not t

. >> hey jr dion. now these potential changes are really aimed at boosting small businesses here in the city. it's no secret that many of those places are still having a hard time recovering from the pandemic. and proponents of this tax plan say it's a common sense way to give them the help they need. tax relief could soon be coming to thousands of businesses around san francisco. on monday, two business leaders submitted a proposed measure that would overhaul the city's tax system. lori thomas, the executive director of the golden gate restaurant association, was one of those people we know that any relief we can give, even if it's a couple thousand dollars a year to our small businesses, is a nod in the right direction. if passed by voters in november, the proposal would simplify the city's notoriously complex tax system. it would also allow small businesses with revenue under $5 million to be exempt from business taxes, up from the current level of 2 million. it's a move that proponents say would al
