i'm eric thomas. >> i'm dion lim. problems with muni have been mounting this month. equipment issues led to a day of delays on friday. operators have been refusing to work overtime causing more delays. there are new developments tonight. >> luz pena spoke exclusive to the president of the union for muni operators who has a strong message to workers and a proposed solution. >> reporter: delays impacted more than 100,000 riders. today the president of the operators union is going to ask operators to work with them so this doesn't happen again. a working bus is a good sight to see for many muni riders still not over friday's delays. >> yeah, sure. everybody would like it to be better. friday was a complete forgive the pun, train wreck. who knows what will happen. >> reporter: the president of the transport workers union local 258 revealed to us today he sent a message to all the muni operators urging them to prevent delays like friday's. >> we saw the amount of people that were stranded and that's not a good feeling. we'
