i remember his last day at disney was a friday.iday in september of 2005 when his wife and one of his sons came to disney, had lunch with him and he drove off the disney lot after having been ceo for 21 years and i was at that point, i couldn't wait because i was ready to have that office and that title and that job, ready to go. and i don't think i thought long and hard at the time of what that really meant to him and here i am. yesterday was my last day on that disney lot in this role and it was an emotional experience for me. my son came to the lot, one of my sons. we had lunch together. there i walked around, took pictures i was having incredibly emotional. the ties that i've had to this company that have been a part of my life were ending and i -- and two weeks from now, i will not have a title i've had a decent title since i was in my 30s. it's a long time there's no anxiety about that at all. sadness because i'm leaving people that i love working with and a company that i've loved working for. but no remorse, no second-guess

disney plus can continue to grow its subscriber base. romaine: susan arnold, the big news here, being named chairman of the board of disney. we did a quick search on the bloomberg terminal. at the start of this year there were only 15 female chairs of s&p 500 companies. that came with the big announcement with the chair of starbucks named. there are 15 that are named right now. we talk about the bluebird 50, -- bloomberg 50, companies putting pressure on their boards for diversity. caroline: it makes for more diverse leadership. groupthink, you have that are risk-taking. you have etf's plowing money into diverse-led businesses. you get a better return. taylor: the research has shown it, that diversity across all forms has led to an improvement in the share price along with the bottom line. romaine: i'm wondering why melanie hopson is not on the bloomberg 50. she took over in march. chicago native, by the way. taylor: of course y ou go there. caroline: never without a little bit of love toward chicago. we have a little bit of love for our

40% of disney's precovid revenue. it was great to see the domestic parks edge out of the red but the segment is down to t29% of revenue today and expensive adapting to covid and we need to see the parks start to pull their weight, which is hard in this environment >> natasha, what do you see for the streaming sort of field at large when you go into quarantine you quickly discover which platforms you can't live without, especially when you have kids as i do. i think we watched "en dcanto" about 100 times. do they all survive 2022 or is this the year ahead the year in which we see some of the players consolidate. i mean, over $100 billion expected to be spent content wise is this sustainable? >> i mean, i'm a heavy user of digital content because i have kids and so we're using disney and i mean we're using all the platforms. i think there is still space for a lot of players because of all the content that's being created so people are hopping from platform to platform and, you know, when it comes to where disney sits in
