. >> and doggie deja vu. he returns to the store and this isn' t a first for pet thieves. anchor: breaking news in brevard county. a store owner shoots a man that he says try to rob his business. meredith: chris hush has the story. chris: it' s it started one suspect in the hospital and the other one still on the run. these armed robbers when after the chevron convenience store around 8:00 tonight. they attempted to rob him at gunpoint. the owner turned the tables around the shooting at the men. he shot several rounds hitting one of the men. the second suspect did get away in a vehicle that was also struck by gunfire. we do not know if he was hit. the suspect was shot was taken to holmes regional medical center. detectives are actively searching for the other man who got away. they are also searching for that vehicle. this is the third time that this gas station has been robbed. because of that, police tell us the owner of the convenience store is known to carry a gun with him. are a lot of things questions about who the suspects are. identities have not been released yet.
